Curriculum

Knightsbridge Schools International offers a 21st century, multilingual, experiential and digitally enhanced curriculum for your child. The distinctive features of our curriculum model include:

  • A multilingual and international curriculum for learners aged 3 to 18. Learners will study in a bilingual English-Spanish language environment and develop linguistic skills simultaneously. A third language will be introduced to learners from year 4 onwards.

  • The use of the latest developments in information and computer technology will ensure that learners have the opportunities to interact with others close and distant in our digital age. More personalized learning opportunities will be supported by e-learning:

making full use of the digital world’s opportunities for collaboration, interaction, engagement, presentation and communication in an adaptive and engaging context.

  • The curriculum will be experienced inside and outside of school enabling learners to create meaning, explore and extend their understanding of the world.Units of inquiry will provide learners with rich and engaging materials that evoke the use of a range of intelligences as they explore both local and global issues.

  • In the primary years, learners will grow in their understanding of six transdisciplinary themes: who they are, how they express themselves, where they are in place and time, how the world works, how we organize ourselves and how we share the planet.

  • In the middle years, learners will transfer and extend their understandings within five areas of interaction: approaches to learning, community and service, health and social education, environments and human ingenuity whilst continuing to develop their academic knowledge and skills in 8 subject groups.

  • In the diploma years, learners will work towards a widely recognized university entrance qualification offering a broad and balanced programme with final examinations that prepares learners for success at university and life beyond.

In order to fulfil its’ philosophical, organizational and curriculum goals, Knightsbridge Schools International will seek authorization to offer all three International Baccalaureate Programmes: Primary Years Programme (PYP), Middle Years Programme (MYP), and the Diploma Programme (DP). This process takes approximately 3 years for each programme. Please see www.ibo.org for more information.
