Knightsbridge Schools International (KSI), as a global education network, chose Colombia and in particular Colegio La Candelaria as the first strategic alliance in the expansion process of their academic model to Latin America. 

KSI builds this association with Colegio La Candelaria in order to provide a world-class, multicultural and bilingual curriculum that over the next five years expects to gain a place as a new alternative of International Education for local and international families.

Admission Process

The start of operatinos of the alliance between these two schools is set for August of 2012. With this goal, the process of admission for boys and girls between the 3 and 6 years old is currenty in progress. 

This admission process introduces two important developements in the academic and formative model of the school:  a new academic level for prekinder students (3 years old)  is created and the transition from an only-girls school to a boys and girls school is started. This transition will be applied progressively over the next five years in parallel with the implementation of the new academic programs of the KSI curriculum.

Development Plans 

Further development plans for Colegio La Candelaria include upgrades to all school buildings and furniture, including new state of the art science labs, technology centres, music, theatre, library and sports facilities as well as the most advanced technology to aid teaching and learning. 

The KSI management team is currently recruiting a collaborative team of vibrant leaders and teachers to enhance the current Colegio La Candelaria teaching body and champion the school’s unique values and ethos.  Experienced international educational leaders will hold the senior administrative and leadership positions within the school.
